Project Title: R2R Enterprise Data Transformation

Round 2 Resources

Details
Project Title R2R Enterprise Data Transformation
Project Topics Data Management Operations Research, Analysis, Evaluation Strategic Planning
Skills & Expertise Data Collection
Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity

  1. Project Overview
    1. R2R connects donors of various goods with person(s) and/or families in need. These transactions are recorded in spreadsheets that currently serve the  function of an invoice, capturing the details of the transaction and the parties involved.
    2. In order for R2R to begin to automate their processes, leveraging agentic AI resources, this historical data that R2R has accumulated in these invoice-like files needs to be converted into a  formal database that can be leveraged to pivot upon common questions that will support future strategic and tactical decisions
    3. The first phase in this enterprise-wide technology transformation is the project these students will support: preparing the existing data for future ingestion by agentic AI processes

Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required

  1. Project Objective(s): Transformation of data files (currently housing common data across multiple files with slightly varied formats) into one, consolidated source of truth that can be referenced by a machine
    1. Milestones
      1. Review and triage of existing data: understanding what currently exists, the various levels of completeness and triaging the data appropriately
      2. Presentation of triaged data and development of data standardization  timeline: presenting the completed classifications of the data reviewed, establishing a timeline for the standardization of the data and asking early questions on unknowns
      3. Mid-timeline Review Session: opportunity for the  students  to  present  mid-project progress and ask additional questions on unknowns
      4. Late-timeline Review Session: final review  session for questions prior to students completing the project (should occur a few days before final date)
    2. Outcome
      1. Final Presentation: students present the finalized database of data that will act as the foundation of future technology initiatives of the nonprofit
      2. Deliverables:
        1. Proposal Brief
        2. Business Requirements Document
        3. Final Presentation Deck
        4. Finalized Database
        5. User Guide Document

Project Synopsis: Expected Results

  1. Success:
    1. Complete transformation of historical transaction data into a queryable and referenceable database that can be
      1. Easily ingested by machines/LLMs for future use in automated processes
      2. Leveraged by management in strategic decision making,
      3. Leveraged to create pivot charts and tables
