Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
Knowledge workers spend 30 to 40% of their day looking for and analyzing data. We reduce this effort to zero.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
Produce hundreds of predefined use cases and workflows by function (finance, ops, marketing, sales, risk, etc.) and industries (financial services, insurance, tech, telco, FMCG, etc.).
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
Produce high value use cases and workflows:

Here are a few examples of what we expect as deliverables. But we would like the students to come up with their own B2B use cases as well.

Create use cases in Wand.ai and produce 2' to 2'30" videos of these use cases: describe the problem, how they used Wand to solve the problem, and what are the unique things that they could accomplish using Wand.

Market opportunity analysis
Identify a tech company and their top competitors, create a competitive analysis, compute overall TAM, build a predictive model to predict what percentage of the TAM the tech company will have a year from now.

Client Support/Customer Success

Identify a tech company, gather customer complaints from email communications, surface a specific complaint from a client as well as the ways/documentation associated with resolving that complaint, record the call between the agent and the client, grade the quality of the engagement and the customer's satisfaction. Predict next best product.

Invoice reconciliation/Supply chain risk
Identify an oil and gas company, load suppliers' contracts and invoices as well as actual deliveries, reconcile all three and identify any discrepancies in the invoices. Create a dashboard that shows risk monitoring of top 20 suppliers and generate alerts in case of supply chain risk.

Answering RFPs
A bank is looking for a new risk and compliance platform. Create the RFP using Wand. Then switch to a vendor that will use Wand to produce the answer to the RFP and produce that answer.

Risk analysis and mitigation
An insurance company is looking to optimize the spend for their risk mitigations programs. Create an optimized matrix of current vs. optimized spend using Monte Carlo simulation.

Deal book creation

A banker is looking for market research and deal books in the healthtech industry in order to create a deal book to raise debt for a healthtech, Wand will be used to scan the web to produce research and access the internal knowledge base to find the most relevant deal books, and produce a customized book. Produce a legal agreement to cover the debt raise services.

Churn analysis and prediction
For a telco, load up customer data and email communications, visualize and analyze customer sentiment, predict churn, explain why customers might churn and suggest ideas to remediate.

Marketing Mix Analysis

Load various marketing expenditures (trade shows, social, SEO, etc.) and analyze the efficacy of the marketing actions/channels, optimize the expenditures moving forward.

Design prototype dashboard and data-stream
Required Deliverable
  • What types of dashboard designs meet the company’s needs?
  • Can you create a draft and define the chart type you suggest the company use?
  • What kind of relationship, composition, distribution, or comparison of data are most useful? What types of visualizations should be used in the dashboard design, and why?
  • Which KPIs should be included, and how are these expected to promote productivity and facilitate a cost-effective working environment?
  • Can you map the dataflow logic that takes into account all dashboard audiences?
Several open-ended questions we may want to answer (this is a starting point and should be defined iteratively)
  • Operations: How does the various work distribute between employees, both in terms of handling Crelate (recruiting activities) and in terms of using calls and messages (through RingCentral?). Ideally we could see a method to track effectiveness.
  • Operations: Can we track the effectiveness of our recruiting process?
  • Social Media: How are our engagement levels looking, month to month, across every criteria - likes, shares, comments - for every one of the pages? What seems to affect engagement?
