Details
Project Title Financial Modeling & Fundraising Strategy for Social Impact Data Tracking Company
Project Topics Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis
Skills & Expertise
Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
Quantibly is a mission-driven technology company offering data tracking and performance tools for nonprofit and social impact organizations. As the company prepares for its next fundraising round, leadership is seeking support in building a robust financial model that reflects both the company’s existing traction and future growth plans.

This project invites a team of graduate students to analyze the company’s business model, develop a set of key financial assumptions, and support the design of fundraising strategy materials, including a pitch deck and data room structure. Students will work closely with the founding team to understand the social impact technology space and contribute directly to a capital-raising effort with meaningful financial and strategic implications.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  1. Review Quantibly’s current financials, pricing model, unit economics, and revenue projections.
  2. Conduct market research on comparable SaaS and impact-focused platforms to benchmark growth assumptions.
  3. Collaborate with the Quantibly team to define key assumptions (e.g., customer acquisition, churn, lifetime value).
  4. Develop a comprehensive 3–5 year financial model, including revenue, expense, cash flow, and valuation projections.
  5. Draft and iterate on an investor-ready pitch deck, integrating messaging, metrics, and visual storytelling.
  6. Recommend structure and materials for an investor data room, including due diligence documentation and KPIs.
  7. Propose a target list of investors or funding sources aligned with Quantibly’s mission and stage of growth.
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
  • Delivery of a detailed and flexible financial model grounded in research and internal data.

  • Development of a clear and compelling investor pitch deck.

  • Practical fundraising recommendations, including data room checklist and investor targeting strategy.

  • Positive feedback from Quantibly’s leadership and (if possible) investor stakeholders.

  • Alignment of materials with best practices for early-stage SaaS fundraising and impact investing.
